Ghost Face Officially Released For ‘Dead By Daylight’

Dead By Daylight had had a fascinating journey as game in the indie circuit. It started off with mostly poor reception in Early Access with a small user base (I remember buying it then bouncing off of it really quickly.) A year or so later, Dead By Daylight had changed. It had the odd effect of a steam train climbing a hill higher and higher over time, with currently no signs of that train stopping. With the release of a new licensed killer, I don’t expect that train to slow down any time soon. Ghost Face (popularized by the Scream franchise) is here, and he looks to be a killer that might be as equally frightening as the great Michael Myers before him. Oddly enough, this Ghost Face isn’t licensed from the movies, but rather from the creator of the mask itself.

Ghost Face’s Power is Night Shroud, a stealth ability that is sure to leave quite a few survivors panicked as they turn to see him approaching only a few feet behind. The ability’s descriptions reads as such:

“The Ghost Face liked to stalk his victims. He’d follow them from the local bar, snapping pictures of them at home while looking for a way in. He could study the same victim for weeks, meticulously registering their habits. He’d return when the urge swelled inside him, too great to ignore. By then he knew exactly what to do. While the Night Shroud is active: The Ghost Face’s Terror Radius shrinks to nil. Under these conditions, The Ghost Face becomes Stealth, as long as he stays unseen from all Survivors. The Ghost Face can stalk Survivors to find their vulnerabilities, making them exposed for a limited time.”

And with new a new killer comes three new perks for all killers to use. The first of which is I’m All Ears:

“When Survivors create a loud noise outside your Terror Radius, their aura is revealed for a limited time.”

Ghost Face’s second perk is Thrilling Tremors:

“After picking up a Survivor, all Generators not being repaired by Survivors are blocked by The Entity and cannot be repaired for a limited time. Affected generators are highlighted by a white aura.”

Ghost Face’s final perk is Furtive Chase:

“You become obsessed with one Survivor. When your Obsession is hooked, the Perk receives a token. Each token decreases your Terror Radius during a chase. Next time a Survivor rescues someone from the hook, the rescuer becomes the Obsession.”
