A few days ago Gears For Breakfast, the developers of indie game A Hat in Time teased a “special announcement” on Twitter on August 13.

Due to the nature of the announcement, some fans have speculated this may be unrelated to the as of yet uncompleted stretch goals promised in their Kickstarter. Whether Gears For Breakfast is merely updating their fans about the stretch goals, or bringing something entirely new to the game; we now have a time and date for the announcement.

There’s a lot to be excited about for fans. With A Hat in Time being one of this year’s big indie hits having sold over 500,000 copies, Gears For Breakfast shows no sign of slowing down.
