Currently in development by the Italian Elf Games in collaboration with Luna2 Studio, who developed the original concept for a short film. The full team consists of Piero Dotti, Fabiola Allegrone, Francesca Presentiniand, Alex Angelini, Max Rambaldi, Andrea Camattari and Andrea Fumagalli.
The premise of the game follows the story of Lucy, a young girl who sets out to investigate the plague of disappearances that are connected to the forest surrounding her home village. The gameplay for Children of Silentown will involve searching for items that can be used to solve various problems within the game world and moon logic puzzles. The most important of these being notes that Lucy can learn to sing, which is likely to be another core mechanic of the game, as music plays a crucial role.
The art is hand-drawn with a cute yet grim aesthetic that helps strengthen the tone of the adventure seen in the short demo which is available on steam. The game was even a Finalist in Digital Dragons Indie Celebration for 2020 and also in the Best Game art category for Indie Prize, China in 2019.
