Rumor: Tender ‘Dating App’ Related to New Vampire Bloodlines Title

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines came out back in 2004, since then it’s enjoyed a large cult following. An RPG based off of the mechanics of the original tabletop RPG, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, the Vampire Bloodlines trademark was renewed back in 2016 but nothing came of it. However, a new dating app by game developer Paradox Interactive has some gamers renewing their enthusiasm for a potential sequel.

The Tender dating app invites visitors to test out their new platform by creating an account. The site encourages visitors to allow its algorithm to “analyze your soul” by answering a few questions. The questions the Tender app asks makes references to the Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop game, including an odd set of interests to select from including “shamanism,” “hedonism,” “morbidity” and “esotericism.” All of these interests refer to the hedonistic and quasi-magical lifestyle that vampires in the setting are known for. In addition, visitors are asked to choose which image represents them and given the choice between maggots, blood, a scary clown and a lonely girl.

The recent fifth edition of Vampire: The Masquerade hasn’t been shy about considering real-life developments in society and how vampires might exploit them. A dating app designed for potential bite victims to out themselves makes a lot of sense and time will tell if Tender’s intended to help visitors find their soulmate or expose their necks.
